“We tremendously enjoyed the event! The guide was very knowledgeable and came up with the most interesting and peculiar little facts about the trees, herbs and animal tracks. I’m really glad we attended this walk and also that we visited the hall afterwards – great atmosphere with all the Halloween decorations.” – Attendee on 2024 Little School of Ecology
We are very happy to be bringing back our popular Halloween Little School of Ecology to Haddon Medieval Park! Children aged 5-11 can have spooky fun and enjoy the simple pleasures of being outside in nature, learning basic identification of trees, flowers, birds and insects, as well as discovering different habitats.
Our experienced guides will take you into the beautiful private parkland that surrounds Haddon Hall and delight you and your children with the wonders of the natural world. In keeping with the season, they’ll also explain some of the mysterious superstitions, fascinating folklore and ancient beliefs of the past. Fancy dress is encouraged but not essential!
Sorry, we cannot allow admission for unaccompanied children. Maximum of three children per adult please. Please note that adults are responsible for the safety of the children they are accompanying on this walk.
Haddon Hall is a privately-owned estate, and one of the only houses in England to have remained in one family’s ownership for its entire existence. Your support enables us to protect the buildings and precious landscape here for the future.
Please note that admission to Haddon Hall is not included within the price of this event.
